What ClaimSweep is
ClaimSweep compares the wording on a web page against a database of phrases drawn from published FDA warning letters and surfaces matches, with citations to the underlying letters. It is an informational reference to help you spot marketing language that has drawn regulatory attention elsewhere, so you can review it and decide what to do.
What ClaimSweep is not
- It is not legal, regulatory, or professional advice, and does not create an attorney-client or advisory relationship.
- It is not a compliance certification, approval, or clearance. A ClaimSweep report does not make your site compliant and must not be presented as a government or third-party endorsement.
- It is not exhaustive. It reflects the published FDA materials we have collected; it may miss claims, may not cover the most recent enforcement, other agencies (such as the FTC), or state and international law.
- The absence of a flag is not a clean bill of health. It only means our database did not surface a match — not that your content is lawful or free of risk.
Not affiliated with the government
ClaimSweep is an independent, private service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the FDA, the FTC, or any government agency. References to those agencies describe the public source material we analyze.
Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the claims you publish and sell, and for deciding what to change. For decisions with legal or regulatory consequences, consult qualified legal or regulatory counsel who can review your specific situation.
